Earl Johnson is true to himself and clings to familiar lie in his final hour.
Earl Johnson broke the good news late yesterday.
However, he fell short again of taking responsibility like a man,

I have gone over landgate with a fine tooth comb.. Mr Frei you forgot to mention that Earl Johnson fraudulently conveyed that land from its rightful owners the inhabitants of Holland. It was Town owned land that he transferred to his mother in law Dorris Proulx.
Earl Johnson can say what he wants, the documents do not lie. Voters must remember that Earl Johnson's son Brian who is Holland's highway surveyor is also up to his elbows in this landgate scandal and actually owns one of the STILL landlocked landgate parcels with no frontage.
I think Evil Earl should get out of our tax assessors office too. He should just resign and get out of our town hall. (And take his mentally challenged offspring with him.)
GLEASON = Corrupt official gone
Earl Johnson = Corrupt official going.

Why not resign assessor also
This is wonderful news Peter. Its funny how many lies he and his family have had to come up with to try and hide land-gate from the Holland taxpayerss.
I think Earl aka boss hog should resign the assessors position as well as there is still time to put that position on the ballot this upcoimming election. Im sure he has plenty to hide and clean up in theassessors office and thats why he does not want to give it up.
I said it before and I'll say it again.....Earl Johnson aha papa peetey...GET OUT OF OUR TOWN HALL!!!!!

A team to remember
It will be interesting to see what Earl Johnson's son Brian's campaign slogan will be this time around. Brian Johnson's position will come up for re-election this June.
"Keep the team together"
will not work this time around. It might be a good idea for voters to remember the slogan anyway. Voters also need to remember that,
"birds of a feather flock together,"
and that they were "a team" before and still are "a team."
Treat them as such by keeping them together as far away from our town hall as is possible.
With the knowledge and insight I gained reading this blog and talking to my neighbors it is hard to imagine that Brian will resist the temptation to earn some of our, the taxpayer's money, on top of other people's roofs instead of Holland's ways.

Thank You Earl
I have had the pleasure of living in Holland for my entire life, and I would just like to thank Earl Johnson for his dedication to the people of Holland. His dedication will be missed.

To lifelong resident
Dear lifelong resident... You must have been on the receiving end of Earls generosity towards the seniors at the expense of our school children. Or maybe you got a nice piece of land at taxpayers expense. Let me have your name and I will check your home appraisal. Chances are you are undervalued. I say its not over till he and all his appointees are no longer in the Town hall period. Even in praise you do not sign your name...Why not...????..I name you Mr. Propoganda Feeder.

who will replace Earl?
To "life long resident:"
I read your comment and have the suspicion that you, after spending most of your life here in Holland under the rule of Earl Johnson, are suffering a psychological condition known as "Stockholm syndrome."
It will be a revelation for you to see, once a prudent man will be elected to replace Johnson, that a community is better off without abusive leaders. I still don't have a clue where that prudent man could be found here in Holland, a man willing to step up to the plate and serve the town without taking bribes and kickbacks.

Thank You Lord!!
Wow, you mean the town will finally be able to say good riddance to one of it's corrupt politicians. I say we get rid of his colleague next. Maybe then some other deserving hard working local contractors can run for position of Highway Surveyor and get elected with Father Johnson out of the way. It's time to clean house voters!!!!
There is a light (rainbow) @ the end of the tunnel afterall.
