Sharon Ashley, our town clerk, refused to give me a print-out and added, The results will be published on the town's website.
How about those people who do not have a computer? It seems to me that they don't want you, the reader of the Holland Blog to have it first. I tried, sorry! Ask your self the question, how much of an effort would it be to tape a print-out of the results at the door to the town hall as they always did?
So much I heard from an informed source, Bill Hardy will keep the job he had for years, moderator (thank god! Steven Anderstrom did not get his way.) Harhey did not make it either (he lost by two votes!) Bettina Schmidt is our new member of the Board of Selectmen, congratulations! Scotty defeated Richard Polverari.

I just happened to be passing by this. Your comment that you wanted to post the results here instead of the town posting it on its website and you're concerned that people, who look at this website, would be impacted because they don't have a computer????
Straight idiocy. You're probably right, they didn't want to give it to you. But to claim your website would somehow help gain access to people who don't ha e computers is questionable logic...at best

You don't get it...
Your logic is not correct. I do not insinuate that people without a computer would get it reading it here.
My point was that it was common practice for years to post a printout on the door to the town hall immediately after the elections. That printout could be read by everybody without a computer, would you agree with that?
The new practice denied everybody to do that, whether you had a computer or not. The forgoing is one of the consequences of the new practice. The other consequence was that people with a computer could not read it here first.
