It was vintage Holland the other night on David Worth's upside down show in Wales on Channel 5. We don't even get that station here in Holland yet there were many plants calling in saying they were from Holland. I purchased 2 copies of his show for 10 dollars each and would be willing to let anyone borrow it who wants to see it.
It has Officials in Holland worried enough to have placed plants to call in to do damage control. But I think they just did more damage.
I think it would be good for all Holland residents to see it and our cable commission should run the show. But our Selectmen would never allow so much truth out at one time.
Peter...You did an awesome job and it was so nice to see the light shining on the corruption here in Holland in such a Public Forum.
To ALL RESIDENTS OF WALES AND BRIMFIELD!!!!!! do not form a tri town govt with Holland officials. It would be the same as purchasing the Serpent of Eden for your family pet.

Holland Upside Down E-Mails
You know what. I was not surprised to learn that according to David Worth, (who is the host of the "Upside Down Show" in Wales) there were several E-Mails from Holland Officials to Brimfield residents trying to get them to call in during Peter Frei's live television interview and disrupt it. David also mentioned that there was some pressure put on him to not even allow Peter on.
Classic Stooge play......Several callers called in saying they were Holland residents and tried to shine the light off Johnson-Gate and the Talbot land grab. They tried to infer that Peter is a criminal. Anything to mis-direct the viewers. But Mr Worth's viewing audience is not from the dronedom and they were quick to read the blog and make up their own minds. For every negative call there were two positives.
Mr Worth's show ran close to two hours and was way over its normal time. He was quick to invite Peter Frei Back. I think we should present a petition to the cable commission to air it on our "Public" Access channel.

Charter Communications
Why does Holland have Cox Communications when they are not even licensed to provide full services in Massachusetts? We can not bundle services with cox and Holland is the ONLY town in Massachusetts to use them.
Who negotiates our Cable Contracts? There is Much talk of sharing services with our Massachusetts Neighbors. They all have CHARTER.. Sharing services will share public access with the rest of our Tantasqua School District Partners. Instead we have cox. You want to know why we have COX ???? Because Wettlaufer and his other Friends from Long Island and New York wanted a station that provided full coverage of the Yankee Games as part of their basic plan.
Cmon.. We are Isolated from our neighbor towns and partner communities on Charter because Wettlaufer wanted free Yankee Games. He could have paid an additional 10 dollars a month to upgrade his service for the games but instead negotiated away our lifeline to our support communities in Massachusetts.
Thank you Mr Wettlaufer. Johnson voted with Wettlaufer because Mr W looks the other way regarding the Johnson Landgate Probe.
Holland ......Let yoour selectmen know..WE want CHARTER. A REAL YANKEE FAN does not mind paying an upgrade fee to watch. Thats why they got Johnny Damon.

I just wanted to say that I think it was very unprofessional the way selectman Earl Johnson just called us "assholes" and told us to "get out of HIS town hall," when all we were trying to do was pay our tax bills.
The man obviouslly has no self control or decorrum and has no place in OUR town hall. You would think that when a TAXPAYING citizen is in there paying taxes he would have something nice to say or say nothing at all.

Dear Earl. I just heard the audio file of your conversation with Jim LaMountain when he went to pay close to 4000 dollars for a half of a years taxes on the Holland Farm and Bunkhouse this morning.
Earl Johnson .. Let me tell you something. It was Christmas 2001 when Jim gave me a German Shepherd Puppy. I named the Puppy Indy. He is my dog. I have all the paperwork in my name and I have taken him to all his vet visits.
Jim and I seperated in 2003 and I Live in Southbridge now. I have a son who's father died. Jim LaMountain is the only Father that my son has ever known and Jim is his legal guardien.
He lives with Jim most days. As with my son it is the same for Indy. I love them both enough to let them be with Jim. That does not mean my son is not my son nor does it mean my dog is not my dog.
I remember the first time Jim met you. Earl you came to our home and tried to take my dog who was on my land. When you were challenged by Jim you called him an azzhole then too.
Why were you there? Where was the dog officer? Jim did not know you from Ted Bundy. You were rude while you stood on our land without invite.
I know why you do not like Jim. Because he is a rso and you think it is your Job to punish him for the rest of his life.
I feel sorry for anyone who has to come into contact with you.

Pet Names
You know.. My name is James but I am called Duke by many. Its a nickname that those who are close enough to me sometimes use. When someone calls me that they usually find an entirelly different persona than if they Know me as James or Jim or even Jimmy.
Anyhow a venerable lady from Holland once told me that if I wanted to get along with Earl Johnson I should call him "Peety." So..This morning as I was leaving the tax collectors office (I was using an IPod that also acts backwards and the earbuds are also microphones and records what is said.) Anyhow as I passed the elevator the doors opened and there stood Earl Johnson staring me in the eyes. He was foaming at the mouth or frothing and did not look to be in the best of spirits. I said the first thing I thought which was "Papa Peety how are ya" he said "hey asshole get the hell out of here, will ya?..I said "what are ya calling me a asshole for? We're in the town hall Mr Johnson.." So Selectman Johnson said "aaa eeeee aaaa and you don't say peety ok?" ..so I said "How ya doin?? alright? " Then he went on to babble about how he had me figured and I am a liar because of Indy or some other such nonsence. I told him that I would like to see him on channel 5 as he stormed off into his inner sanctum. I was there to Pay close to 4000 dollars of the 7700 dollar half year taxes that our Family is charged to live in Holland. ..

We will be running a workshop on tax abatements. Included will be a seminar on how to fill out the papers for the Appellate Tax Board.

NAH ....!!!
I think someone from Holland who has ancestors in the graveyard here should run. I am from Oxford and am a seasonal resident who fell in love with the community in 96. My kids are from Holland though. I do plan on moving back home someday.
The Natural beauty of Holland is shadowed and darkened by the corrupt ones in our town hall. What use to be a place of tranquil retreat for my downtrodden spirit has become a place of terror and horror for me and my family. ...
I will finish my business with this town and take the fight to the mat as needed. Once the Herd and the Kids are established on the Former Joseph Blodgett Farm I think I will move back to the Huguenot Grant @ Kekamowadachaug in Oxford. There is no lake there but the views are forever. And you can trust the Indians if you negotiate with honor with them.
I feel sorry for Holland I really do..but this town must help itself. It begins with a Charter and master plan and requires community participation..Guys like the ones infesting your town hall fester because they are allowed to by apathetic and cowardly citizens.
I will pray for you all.

Then you could steal all the land from Holland you want without having to answer to anyone. Life was great with no oversight. We could just let Earl and Jim run the town till they die and then have prince Brian move in. I say we change the name of the town to Johnsonville. How would we go about doing that?? We could also give the town employees first right of refusal on tax delinquint town owned property and we could sell it to them at pennies on the dollar tax free.

History Lesson
The Blodgette Farm was probably subdivided at one time.. Maybe you know more than our engineer who did the Survey on our land . If You go to Hampden County Registry of Deeds Bk 1444 Pg 548.& Bk 264 Pg 590 you will learn that our land was formerly known as the "Blodgett Farm" If that is not enough Truth for you then you can go see the Colonial Easement granted to Oliver Howlett across our "Blodgett Farm" and recorded in Book 1744 PG 548..
You WILL not find in any book however an easement or right of way across the Gibson land to the Johnson land off Stafford Road. That was manufactured out of thin air by the engineer Earl Johnson Hired. See Land-Gate. Oh yea you must be one of the cowards who make accusations and do not sign your name. I will name you
"untruth." And I will stay till my Herd is established on Joseph Blodgetts old land and the Johnson-gate houses are either dismantled, moved, or demolished. You know it does not matter to us that our land was settled by Joseph Blodgett in 1730, as it is now our Huguenot Farm @ Masgapaug.

Sad Situation
The apparent political fallout from the airing of Mr. Frei on the community access program the "Upside Down" show is a disgrace. Idle threats made out of spite in response to a PUBLIC ACCESS program that does not necessarily reflect the opinions of Wales public officials does not serve the tri-town communities nor their constituents. Wales is not a community to be bullied. We have a long standing tradition of intelligent, independent thinkers for which we are very proud. There are important issues that hang in the balance not the least of which is the proposed regional elementary school. I can honestly say that, in my opinion, it would not be prudent for Wales to enter into a collaboration with Holland if the current situation is any indication of the unprofessional manner in which Holland officials tackle the problems at hand. I sincerely hope that the residents of Holland are secure in the knowledge that their public officials have the best interests of their community in mind. As an outsider looking in, that does not appear to be the case.

Selectmen Meetings
What boggles my brain is that the Board of Selectmen meetings last 10-15 minutes many times. No wonder no one wants to go to them. Also, think about this, If it only takes 10-20 minutes to cover Town of Holland business, every two weeks, what decisions are being made behind closed doors. The people of Holland deserve better than this. They should have knowledge about what is going on in our Town Government and not just what the Selectmen want us to know at their descretion. Shame on them We are suppose to look up to our Town Government for information about our Town and the decisions that are being made. But it is being kept in file cabinets and storage. I am appealing to them to be in better communication with the voters. Also, the phone lines did get out of hand, but there should be a way for the folks at home to call in and get the answers to questions, We have joined the "dial 101" for the select board and push this # for another department. Employees are not keeping the hours posted on the cable channel and it is very frustrating. Sad state of affairs.

Cable TV History
Way back Around 1990, when Holland first got cable TV. Greater Media
was the company that preceded Charter. Thay had no interest in building cable in Holland, Continental Cable won the bidding in Holland.After about three corporate takeovers , COX ended up with littlle old Holland. Maybe when the licence is up. A pro -active town government can try toconvince charter to bid for Holland
