There are a lot of properties in town with more than one unregistered vehicle sitting there for all to see. Are they ALL getting letters? Or just Carolyn Reardon? Could it be because she spoke up? Is she now under attack? It looks that way to me. Last year Jim Lamountain got a port a potty for the beach. The town went out of its way to make him move it across the street because there is some by law reqiring it to be a certain distance from the water. As a result the ski club had to move theirs too. This year... Jim doesn't have one so the town does not care that the ski club is in violation. WOW! Pretty scary. The rules only apply to folks you don't like.

Potties
But it o k for the town to have one at the dam and that one has been turned over on its side. Too close to the lake ???? As usual, double standards.

take action then
have the town official take action on violation. I think board of health would determine if port. johns are in a violation. And for unregistered cars, i believe its in the bylaws, and the police dept can issue fines to property owner.

Earl’s Restaurant
The story with the Porto Potty.. Ok, lets see ... Heather Blakeley was on the Board of Health and according to Tom Baltazar who was also on the BOH Earl Johnson had "gotten to" Heather Blakeley. I was conducting a Title 5 inspection on one of our properties using a licensed title 5 inspector when Heather in the name of the Holland Board of Health dispatched the DEP and the State Police by telling them I was doing illegal work on a septic system. I asked her who told her that and she said Brian Johnson.
Russell Leblanc was doing the work and it was all legal. Anyhow Brian Johnson (not a member of the BOH!) actually came to our land and stood in the hole next to the open D-box and told our prospective buyer that the system was in complete failure and that there would be no closing on the home.
The System passed, the house sold, and the buyer became a friend of mine.
While I was at the BOH asking Heather why she sent the Police to our property to be sold, and if it was normal procedure to do so, she informed me that she was told by the Johnson's I had assaulted a town official... Not true. As a matter of fact I had dealt with the Board of Health many times over the years and never had so much as a cross word with them. I have been a licensed septic installer since title 5 was enacted back in 95.
Heather Blakeley then said I would have to move my porto potty off the beach because I did not have a permit for it. (The new Jersey barricades that the Johnsons’ had illegally put on our beach to deny us access had been removed as per court order) I asked for a "porto potty" permit and Blakeley said there were none. I asked if the town had a permit for the one at their beaches and she said ours was too close to the lake. I later learned there is no permit required.
Then John Jacobi got elected to the Board of Health. Jacobi is corrupt as they come and was completely remodeling a house on 7 Chaffee Road with no permits and filling in wetlands when he was elected. He called the company ALM Septic who owned the porto potties at PJ's beach, town beaches and our beach and told them they did not have a porto potty license for Holland and they would not be able to get one for 90 days (end of summer) as punishment. Jacobi also told ALM to get aLL porto potties out of Holland. ALM called and warned me and I made arrangements with another company and got another porto potty on stand-by. One Wednesday morning ALM came into town and removed all their units.
I had a spare up on the farm and we put it on our beach and named it Earl’s Restaurant in his honor. As far as we are concerned he has been feeding Holland a bunch of crap for the past 35 years and the name was appropriate.
The next week there were 20 plus children at the ski club crossing the busy street to go in the bushes and little girls going into PJ's to use the restrooms there. This is the kind of thing the Johnsons’ have been doing to harass us continuously for the past seven years.
What kind of inbreed morons with kindergarten mentalities have attached themselves to this "first family" of Holland who have been pillaging our town treasures for over the past 20 years?
Blakeley has since resigned as has Jacobi and Gleason; all close with Earl Johnson and son Brian during their tenure. Blakeley works for Bertin Engineering Associates, Inc. who coincidentally also drew the infamous ANR plan illegally subdividing the Johnson property that helped the Johnson clan pull off the Johnson Landgate scandal. ..
What is Earl up to now....Who is watching the cookie jar can see that the Johnsons’ have their arms in the jar so deep you can only see their toes sticking out. Speak out Holland....
