Not cool
Why was it necessary for you to state the name and age of the resident, as well as the fact that she lives alone? Not cool. "The resident" would have been more than enough information. I'm sure she doesn't want it broadcast what her living situation is. You should revise your comments. I am glad that she is ok.

cool
Why don't you try giving something to the conversation rather than trying to break down others about the way they word things.. Next time maybe if you have something negative to add send it as an e-mail as opposed to a comment no one needs to read your implementation of disparagement."You get more with honey than you do vinegar".

Well?
OK, now you know about it (maybe not via the method you preferred) yet you still haven't made the change to the posting. I think that too much information was given about the resident.

I agree
I agree. Responsible journalism never puts a victim into harms way by publishing potentially harmful information. The fact that you stated the victim's age and living status could aid a criminal in wrongful action against that homeowner.

Of course, now it is cached in Google and other places so it will be hard to remove from the Internet. It really was inappropriate to state that much information without the victim's permission.

Whaaaaa
Hey she is not a "victim" the house was the victim. This is a local blog and I am sure this woman has friends and family as well as close neighbors. But you are right. I once heard of a case where 2 brothers were reading the obituaries. They would find out when the funeral was and go and raid the houses of the family during the calling hours and services. They got alot of time too.
Hey inclusion for bad kids.. "Bad Kids" v Good Kids.
How about more time off than any other job and teachers unions that protect under achievers.
Like any other profession there are good and bad. But the political indoctrination by our educational system of our children we can do without.
Teach em Math Science and Reading and thats it. The future will have internet education and teachers will be obsolete.
What would the cities and towns do with all the cash if expensive school buildings, staff, and janitors could be downsized to sport, community centers for our young people. Academics could be taught at home from CyberTeach.com (domain name available for 1888.00).
I would love the time off that comes along with a job in education. I would use the extra time to help "bad kids". ...
>>>Who classifies em anyhow???<<<<<<

Really?
The old lady who lives alone in a house with a huge tree stuck in the roof is not a victim????? What color is the sky on your home planet????

She is definitely a victim of storm damage to her home. She could have been severely injured or killed. She had a bout of bad luck and I don't think she deserves to have her "lives alone" status plastered all over the Internet. I wouldn't want to be responsible for supplying info to a potential criminal. Definitely wouldn't want to be hauled into court for aiding and abetting even if it was a shallow charge. I prefer to stay out of court myself. [wink]

And what the heck are you talking about inclusion or whatever it was??? Why go off topic like that???

Who released the info
Hey, How did the Blog get her living status???? You once again mentioned it above (wink). And she is not a victim. She is a lil ole lady who is getting a new roof using an insurance check to pay for it.

She could have been a victim if the tree skewered her too. Now she is someone with a free roof ala powers of nature. "Aetna Im glad I met ya."

Also i did not mean to seem off topic but i was responding to the Journalist post here..... and the one he titled Hmmm. Get with it.
Did you remember to put the seat back in the Charger after you were done???? Just Kidding.

"What color is the sky on your home world"

LOL, I love that comment!!!! :D

Really describes a lot of what goes on here. Quite the off-worlder influence.
