Ex Chief Gleason investigated
The Holland Blog was informed by a reliable source at the town hall that Kevin Gleason was the “town official” that gave cause to the executive sessions held by the board of selectman during the last two regular official Board meetings. In a letter sent on or around May 5, 2009, chairman of the board of selectmen, James Wettlaufer, “empowered” first Assistant District Attorney James Orenstein, Hampden County Bureau, to move forward with an investigation to determine if any wrongdoing took place. The recent resignation of Police Chief Kevin Gleason caused the selectboard to change all the locks and security codes and claimed that this would be “normal procedure.” Gleason cited medical reasons for his resignation a week ago and Wettlaufer has yet to admit to the residents of Holland that Gleason’s resignation brought “certain irregularities” to light.Peter Frei

High Peter,
I see you added the FBI tip line to your page. People that have tips on Gleason should refer to tip# 2262295
The FBI has assigned this # to tips on him and the Holland Mass. situation
I believe they are looking into his law enforcement work at this time.
I am hearing that Gleason has used his badge just before resigning to sexually harass another Holland Resident. The story I heard was he wanted sex to let a woman out of a speeding ticket. All she had to do was take a ride in his cruiser. I heard this from my son who was just in town last night visiting friends.
Do you know anything about this new harassment situation? Do you know if it was reported yet?
If this is true I hope the victim steps forward.
Anyone with knowledge of the crimes in Holland, please report them to the FBI at https://tips.fbi.gov/
X-Chief Kevin P. Gleason was a poor example of a law enforcement officer. All cops can't be judged by him, the police have a hard enough job without "officers" like Gleason making them look bad.
I support law enforcement, and I really support the fine officers at LEAP.CC
Check them out!

An OPEN LETTER of FACT to ANY LawEnforcement Agency Investigating Ex-Chief Kevin P. Gleason
Facts on Chief Kevin P. Gleason & Agent Scott Haley Concerning the Raid of March 27,03 at 90 Maybrook Rd.
Affidavit Signed by Agent Scott Haley (Palmer Dist., Mass.) sworn before Janet H. Austin, A Clerk Magistrate
No date on the signature page, but would have been just prior to March 25,03.
Affidavit claims 3 pot sales by me from my home to a C.I.#62. The police used news clippings of a demonstration & a letter to the editor to fill this 8 page affidavit. The news clippings were counted into the page count, the letter to the editor was gotten and shown to the Clerk Magistrate to support the affidavit, Chief Gleason referred to it in his "official" Press Releases after the raid. This fact was printed in the news stories after the raid.
Search warrant docket # 0343 CR-455 also signed by Janet H. Austin issued on March 25,2003. Agent Scott Haley is the applicant as the Lead Agent for the Eastern Hampton County Narcotic Task Force.
The affidavit claimed 3 sales, one was a sale 48 hours prior to the warrant issued on March 25,2003, I was inpatient from March 20,03 on through the raid in ICU, & was being operated on as the warrent was being signed on March 25,03. The other sales were claimed on days I was in the emergency room & out of state.
No charges were ever brought against me. My wife & daughter were arrested for possession and summoned to court on 12/22/04, way after the raid.
The police put into evidence during their trial "photocopied money" that they claimed was used in the sales claimed made by me to C.I.#62 on the dates listed in the affidavit. Why would they do this? No sales charges were made, and I was not charged. The charges against my wife & daughter were dismissed on 8/16/05.
The judge refused the photocopied "evidence"
It is my claim that this "photopied money" was false evidence produced by the police and presented to the court. This is a crime by the police. I want this investigated.
It is my claim that the police did commit perjury both on the affidavit in March 0f 03, but also again on the Sworn Depositions dated last year and posted on line for public viewing at captainjoint.com You can read and see no proper police work was followed at all in this case. The police claim they sat at the bottom of the road and watched C.I.#62 go into my home & watched him come out, yet the officers statements differ as to what officers were at what sale. It is my claim ALL THREE claimed sale dates are perjury, both in the affidavit and the Sworn Depositions.I would like these claims of perjury investigated.
It is my claim that the C.I.#62 listed is Michael Zelonis. This person was arrested on my property on Oct 30, 2002, and was in jail at the time of all three claimed sales from my home. I would like this investigated.
Police used news clippings of a demonstration that was published by the Southbridge Evening News Jan,22,2002 and a letter to the editor published on Feb 22, 2003 titled "Legalize Marijuana for Medical Uses" in the Telegram & Gazette to fill up their affidavit. These actions are not illegal.
It is my claim the police did work together to stop my free speech, a violation of my civil rights. I would like this investigated please.

Hey Sergeant Shultz
Congrats on the emergency management gig and the internet scam deal for the elders. (I hope they read the blog.)
Did the Selectmen have a meeting in the parking lot after the meeting? Did they discuss any matters for the town? Was there minures taken if they did? You know about the open meeting law?
Call the Birdman (S>E>N editor) and he will tell you the scoop on the "sunshine laws"
Also the Emergency Management gig. We have a 70,000 pound excavator, an any terrain log skidder with winch, and a 10,000 pound skid steere with grapple. At you disposal and awaiting orders sir for any declared emergency where you feel you could use such assets.
My son was at ground zero on 9-11-01. He piggybacked in with a fema convoy. You want to hear some stories, that young man has some.
But I SEEEEEEE NUTINK

Earls name was on that lawsuit too.
The article in todays Worcester Telegram paper mentions that According to James Wettlaufer, the State Police evidence inventory when Gleason resigned was "normal procedure" in Holland . It sure needs to be. I hope they do it when Johnson and Wettlaufer resign in shame too.
It is funny though how the telegram article mentions that the X Police Chief Kevin Gleason was a defendant in a Federal Civil Rights Case that the town settled for many tens of thousands of dollars. How come they did not mention that Earl Johnson was also a Defendant in that case?
I bet the former Chief will Slowly return to Humanity and now that he is away from Evil Earl and the Gang he will start to shine the light on the real corruption here in Holland. Gleason may be a knucklehead at times but he is nowhere near in the criminal league of Johnson or Wettlaufer. He was their puppet. I truely wish Kevin Gleason well and say a prayer of strength to the Creator for him to endure all he must face.
Best wishes Kevin... You have a beautiful Child with one of Hollands own. I know you did not want things to end up like they did. When you work in the presence of corruption like you did it is hard not to cross the line for those who hold your job in their hands. I forgive you.

State police investigating former chief
By Brian Lee TELEGRAM & GAZETTE STAFF
SPRINGFIELD — Former Holland Police Chief Kevin P. Gleason is under investigation by state police detectives in the office of Hampden County District Attorney William M. Bennett, it was confirmed yesterday.
Assistant District Attorney James C. Orenstein said yesterday, “There was going to be a hearing today concerning an allegation of a misappropriation by former Chief Gleason. Due to scheduling problems it could not go forward today. It’s been postponed to Sept. 14.” The allegation concerns money misappropriated when he was chief, the prosecutor said.
The postponed hearing is not an arraignment, Mr. Orenstein said.
Mr. Orenstein said the district attorney’s office is making the allegation against Mr. Gleason. He declined to make further comment.
Chief Gleason resigned from the job May 4, citing his health as the reason. Mr. Gleason said he had been hospitalized recently. His resignation took effect immediately.
That day, state police detectives had been summoned to Town Hall by James E. Wettlaufer, chairman of the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Wettlaufer said he had asked state police for advice on how to make a smooth transition and maintain the “chain of custody” of evidence stored at the police station, which is in the basement of Town Hall.
Locks on the building were changed and pass codes for alarm systems were altered, he said.
Two state police lieutenants, one from the Sturbridge barracks and another from the Hampden County detectives unit, along with a trooper from the Sturbridge barracks, oversaw the inventory of items in the Police Department’s evidence locker, Mr. Wettlaufer said at the time.
The inventory took several hours to complete. The chief was present during the inventory.
The day of the resignation, Mr. Wettlaufer said it was “a normal procedure.”
The day after Mr. Gleason’s resignation, selectmen held a closed-door meeting, saying they planned to “consider the discipline or dismissal of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member, or individual.”
Board members said the person who was the focus of the meeting had been notified and declined to attend. At the time, asked if the meeting was about Mr. Gleason, selectmen declined to comment.
Selectmen invited two local police officers to attend the executive session. State police Lt. Kevin Hope from the detective unit with the district attorney’s office also was at the meeting.
Lt. Hope was one of two lieutenants present during the inventory of the Holland Police Department’s evidence locker.
Mr. Gleason was named to the chief’s job in September 2002. He had been a sergeant with the department before that.
In 2007, the town settled a lawsuit brought by a former officer who claimed her civil rights were violated because local officials told her she would lose her police job if she ran for selectman. The town’s insurance carrier paid $50,000 to settle the suit, in which the chief was one of the parties named.
Mr. Gleason’s contract would have been up for renewal in 2010. In addition to a police chief, the Holland Police Department has one full-time and four part-time officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant.
Daphne G. Moore, assistant clerk magistrate at Hampden Superior Court, said yesterday documents related to the case would not be available until Sept. 14.

Earl Johnson was the Selectman who violated the cop.
Not only is Earl Johnson the Selectman the Police Officer was running against who had her Civil Rights violated he was the person in Control of the Police Department as a Selectman of Holland. The Case that was settled with a large monetary payment to the former Holland Female Police Officer found Earl Johnson and Kevin Gleason "conspired" to Threaten, Harrass, and Intimidate The Former Political opponent of Earl Johnson. All while acting under "color of law."
There is a similar case pending in the Federal Courts where Chad Brigham alleges the same Civil rights violation after he ran against Johnson in a subsequent election.
Kevin Gleason had nothing to gain by violating the former cops rights. It was Earl Johnson who had his comfort zone of unopposed corrupt power threatened by the act of someone running against him.
Kevin Gleason was doing his Boss Earl Johnson's dirty work.

Tell us it is not true Earl
Earl, why don't you tell the people on this blog that all the documents on this blog are false. Please .. I believe in you , tell me Johnson gate is a lie. Make a statement publically telling us that the lawsuit files by the dis-gruntled cop was all made up.
Please Earl tell us you are not corrupt. We need you to keep taking care of us seniors. Without you they will put the money you give us into other things in town. We do not mind the horrible drainage or substandard services in Holland. As long as we get our free housing, we will continue to show up and vote the way you tell us.
Thank you for taking the money from the Butterworth trust and giving it to us for heat. The Butterworths are dead and will never find out.
We know you did not know Police Chief Gleason was corrupt. It is not like you hung out with him. Well other than all the Breakfasts he had at your house..or in Brimfield I mean.
Please Earl tell us this Blog is a lie. Because if what they say here is true then you sir are a monster and should resign.
