SO Earl is going to call on his backup muscle to be the top cop? Figures..I think the big guy Duggan should be the one to lead Holland's police. He seems honest enough.
In any event the Selectmen should form a search committee for a Chief.
Reverse 911. They will use it like telemarketers most of the time. Kind of like they use the Amber alert when a parent is late returning a child to the custodial parent after visitation. Do you want your phone constantly ringing so you can get mostly usless information over the phone from a computerized dialing system.
Barking Dog ..No action. I thought this town was big on declaring dogs s nuisance. I know that Indy the dog was oredered out of town after he was Illegally declared to be a nuisance in 07. Yea right Indy orders the selectmen to get out of town.
But Indy is still here bec ause the Se;ectmen ordered him out ilegally.
Don't hold your breath in the windmill about your dog complaint. The one complaining about Indy was a friend of selectmen Johnson.
The person that owns the dog behing mike the greeks had a johnson campaign sign in his window. The Selectmen will never respond to that complaint.
The Aframe that carol reardon complained about. I heard that the town officials denied the builder his property rights to such an extent that the guy committed suicide and the town took the property and auctioned it off. Does anyone know more about that.?
I hear McCaughy recieved a fax concerning one town official committing perjury on a sworn affidavit to the superior court and there is a motion pending to jail him under Mgl 268 sec 4.
It may take a while but I think Holland has had enough of the looting by the current officials.

UH OHH
CHAPTER 268. CRIMES AGAINST PUBLIC JUSTICE
Chapter 268: Section 4. Testimony creating presumption of perjury; commitment; recognizance; witnesses bound over; notice
"Section 4. If it appears to a court of record that a party or a witness who has been legally sworn and examined, or has made an affidavit, in any proceeding in a court or course of justice has so testified as to create a reasonable presumption that he has committed perjury therein, the court may forthwith commit him or may require him to recognize with sureties for his appearance to answer to an indictment for perjury; and thereupon the witnesses to establish such perjury may, if present, be bound over to the superior court, and notice of the proceedings shall forthwith be given to the district attorney."
WOW. I have an affidavit from B.Johnson that he signed under the pains and penalties of perjury. It has no less than 4 blatant lies in an attempt to influence the outcome of the case.
Bring your toothbrush when you go to court Brian.

Support the Good ones
I must say that its time Kevin moved on. The Police Department has been struggling with its reputation ever since the day that clown took it over. They say one bad apple spoils the bunch. This is too bad because there are some really honest hard working men who serve as Policeman in the town of Holland.I do believe it will be a difficult for these men to get back on ther feet and gain there credability back.If you see a Holland Cop stop and let them know they have your support in helping them move on and get over this hurdle. Thank You

It was not a selection error!
I personally do not have anything against any members of the HPD. I do not even know these officers. Last night I talked a few words with officer Duggan. He seem to be a very nice guy.
The problem is that an honest guy does not fit-in as Chief with the slectboard as long as James Wettlaufer and Earl Johnson are in office. Who in his right mind would want to have breakfast on a regular basis with Earl Johnson as Kevin did?
It took me about 5 minutes to figure out what Gleason is all about. Johnson and Wettlaufer seemed to enjoy his company and defended the guy each time a controversy emerged. Gleason's resignation is not the solution of the problem. Gleason was only a symptom of the malignant cancer that spreads in the town hall. I do not only support honest good officials, whether they are police officers or have other positions, I feel deeply sorry for them.
How long will it take to remove Gleason's name form the official town web site? I hope not two years again. At the same time the town official in charge may remove Christine McCooe's name. She resigned after attending three meetings two years ago after running for the seat for the five year term on the planning board. Yes you read right, her name was on the "award winning" town web site for the last two years and is still there right now. Click on "Elected Officials" under the heading "Of interest to all" and see for yourself. There are other names listed of people who resigned a long time ago, such as Heather Blakeley (board of health), Earl Johnson (planning board) just to name two.

To Friend of Holland Cop
Hello Friend of a Holland Cop.
If the Officers that are left are honest and hardworking then why is Lt. Morehouses name on the lawsuit that the town settled with a monetary payment to the former officer. ( it is posted on this blog)
Lt. Moorhouse is accused of sexual harrassment as a Defendant alongside Earl Johnson and Kevin Gleason in the Federal Lawsuit the town settled with the former Police Officer..
Do the women of Holland need this type of man in charge of our much battered boys in blue.
The new Chief should be above reproach. Check out the link to the Ft Lauderdale Police that Mr Frei posted in his article about Gleason resigning. Those are the type of standards for regular officers in Ft Lauderdale. We are talking about a Chief here.
If we truley have ethical men working as policemen in our town and I believe we do. Then they should investigate and arrest Earl Johnson at the very least for his role in the looting of Holland.
Our police should demand the attorney general investigate each and every report our town officials submitted to state authorities over the past 5 years.
Our Police should make sure that our Selectmen also obey the law.
Next time you see a Holland Cop. Stop and tell him to begin housekeeping at the town hall.
They will get plenty of support I am sure.
