Rebuttal to Dave Kowalski's recall by Board of Health chairman Kenneth Ference.

Please read the account of events that forced Kenneth Ference to take over as the chair person and angered Dave Kowalski to the point where Kowalski, together with former chairman of the Board of Selectmen and angry Brian Johnson teamed up and fabricated a libelous recall affidavit to mislead the community into supporting the baseless effort, read more»

The Johnson's knew it!
I have noticed over the years over and over again, if the good old boys are left alone they have a hard time finding candidates. Once a board member does the right thing and shows integrity, the good old boys are threatened and cry foul!
Why don't we recall the right individuals, Brian Johnson, David Kowalski, and his protégé James Wettlaufer? Will it ever end?
BTW, when the Wood's were looking to sell that property, it was known not only to the Woods, but to everybody else including the Johnson's that the property was non-conforming.

All Holland Residents- If you are available please join me at the Select Board Meeting, Tuesday April 7th at 7:00 p.m. Town Hall. You don't have to be a registered voter to attend, however, if you wanted to you could register that evening as the Town Clerk's Office is Open. If you can't attend please join in by watching the meeting live on Channel 15. Our Town desperately needs ALL of us and has for a long time. Thank you

majority DOES rule
That's right. If you want to change it get involved. I want to compliment Kim for the orange invitation postcard. It was a positive message. This recall on Manning & Ference is not right. At this point enough is enough. I believe those that started this are wrong. I believe this is REALLY about past resentments and some hidden agendas... People that have been around this town for many, many years think so too .. But have given up. I agree with Kim .. majority rules .. Something shady behind it. Get to the meeting, register to vote and know what you're voting for. Please stop and get back to honest governing .. We are tired of the games. The town is ours, the people ... Not a few guys that think they own it.

Coount me in...
Article V and VII of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts:
Article V:
All power residing originally in the people, and being derived from them, the several magistrates and officers of government, vested with authority, whether legislative, executive, or judicial, are their substitutes and agents, and are at all times accountable to them.
Article VII:
Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity and happiness of the people; and not for the profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men: Therefore the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity and happiness require it.

Mr.

I've known Brian Johnson and David Kowalski for quite some time and they are good people, but boy have they got this wrong. Maybe we town folk aren't involved as much as we should, but if they think we can't see through this cronyism, then they got another thing coming. As a fiscal conservative, I have to ask how much is this damn recall going to cost taxpayers?? Get back to the work of the people and leave Ms. Manning alone!

Janine Drake, please!
I'm following the Doug Curving debacle wondering whether he will be able to avoid a tight tank installation with his proposed septic system which requires seven variances. To my surprise the lengthy, in part verbatim, minutes of the Health Board meetings are posted upside down on the town's official website. I had to turn the down-loaded pdf file before I could read it.
Why would the health board members create such an accurate account of their meetings and then post the minutes upside down?
A little investigation brought to light that we have an "all board's clerk" in town who does the posting of the minutes of the different boards...
Mrs. Drake, as a taxpayer, I'm scratching my head; what is going on here?

Holland the Laughingstock
It is hard to find words for the all board's clerk's incompetence! Individuals like her, Janine Drake, do a good job to secure Holland's reputation to be the laughingstock of central Mass.
