You people are disgusting. I don't care what problems you may have with this man. He has passed away and his family is grieving his loss. Try and imagine how your family would feel if the shoe was on the other foot. Imagine your grandchild going on a website and seeing someone is looking to urinate on your grave. I have read most articles on this site and have kept an open mind about both sides, but this is ridiculous. Crap like this is why this town doesn't take you seriously.

Posted on 12 Nov 2011, 18:50 by Duh
So what your saying is the oppressed shouldn't be jubilant when their oppressor pays the price. Maybe the Jews shouldn't have been happy when hitler died? Libyans and gadahfi? Earl was no diffrent then any other dictator who used their power for their personal gain while using his power to punish his opponents. All I can say is to bad it wasn't wettloofer. I do feel bad that grandchildren lost their grandfather but maybe it was for the best. Look how he raised his sons. They leach off the public teet and act like everyone in the town owes them cause they're Johnson princes.

Hip Hip Hooray...!!!!!
They dragged Mussolini's body through the streets and shat on it. Nobody but Earl was in charge of his legacy. His grandkids should be ashamed of their Evil GrandPeety. The world is better off without him or ANY of his genetically polluted offspring. Who cares what they think.

Can understand
What goes around, comes around, and now God's stopped EJ from damaging anymore lives. I shudder to think what he's facing now.....

And to MM - why shouldn't folks who were hurt by EJ be grateful they won't be affected by him anymore. Everyone has the right to show their remorse/joy in their own way. EJ's instilled a lot of harm to MANY people for a VERY VERY LONG TIME. God decided to put an end to it once and for all. I don't blame those of you who are relieved and rejoicing. I've watched the damage he's done long enough also!!!

You people are sicker than sick. And P. frei is twice as sick for allowing this on his blog. Everyone knows your true colors. You should delete this entire thread, we all know who the sickos are posting this. Actual human beings would have the common decency to let the family grieve instead of rejoicing. You compare Earl to tyrants like Hitler, it is you who has that type of mentality, you want to do whatever you please, and anyone who gets in your way will become your victim. It is quite amazing how you twist facts to portray yourselves as the victims! Please!
Anyone who rejoices in the loss of human life is demented. If you are not sad, thats fine, just keep it to yourself.

Just maybe Peter Frei leaves it up because Peter is also a victim of evil Earl. Maybe it's because it's the truth. You may not like us without so much as ever meeting us but at least we can say that unlike evil Earl we have never stolen 12 acres of town owned land and then built an illegal subdivision on it.

You reap what you sow
Shocked.. Are you serious.? What planet do you live on. This is about more than 1 Family. Earl Johnson was a scheming, devious, person whose entire life was devoted to taking what he could for himself without so much as a thought of ethics, honesty or human decency. His life of lies has harmed and destroyed countless people. Well Earl gets what he gave and respect, courtesy, and decorum were certainly never earned or deserved by Earl Johnson or his offspring. Because you did not sign your name I will give you the same courtesy.

I have never in my life been ashamed of the people I share my town with and today not only am I ashamed but I am absolutely disgusted! The loss of a life is nothing to celebrate! No matter the persons politics, beliefs, struggles or even their expected crimes warrant this absolute disrespect for their family and their life! Everyone means something to someone and that someone deserves our respect to grieve and feel their loss! Earl's children, grandchildren and wife were not him, they were an extension of and even if you did not like him, these extensions do not deserve this lack of respect! Please try and look in a mirror and ask yourself how you call yourself a neighbor or a friend to anyone if this is how you treat anyone in this town! You all disgust me!

Johnson Involved his family and close friends in all of his corrupt schemes and showed no empathy for those lives they collectively ruined. Just as America celebrates Bin Laden's death publically we celebrate Johnsons. What effect this has on Petee's family is part of Earls legacy and not the blame of those celebrating this despicable mans passing.

You are all disgusting and should be ashamed of yourselves!! Whether you liked Earl Johnson or not, he was still a person with a family mourning his death. If nothing else, you should respect his family and keep your comments to yourself, where they belong! I'm sure most of you aren't perfect... and you wouldn't want your family to read posts, similiar to those listed here. It's hurtful and childish! Instead of focusing on someone else's demise, be thankful it's not you and move on...

Watched for the Damage for Years
Everyone exhilirated by the death of Earl Johnsn has a right to be - after ALL the damage he's done to many, many, many people over the years. Afterall MOST of the folks injured by him continue to suffer the endless damage he's caused - which incidentally doesn't go away with his death. And the rest of the townsfolks should also be rejoicing because EJ is no longer a FUTURE threat to anyone anymore! Thank You Lord!!!

And thank you Peter Frei for letting people vent and relieve (SOME) of their long suffered frustrations....

I am also NOT SAD over the death of Earl Johnson because I left what could have been a perfectly good position, if it weren't for his tyranny. He made my life miserable and hopefully he'll answer for it now.

Posted on 14 Nov 2011, 9:28 by MM
You want to talk hypocrites? Earl might have used his power for "Evil" as you say, but at least he is not required by MA state law to register as a sex offender. The fact that you try and compare someone who is an elected official that may have abused his power to people who have raped, beaten and murdered 1000's of people is ludicrous. You people need to wake up and look in the mirror.

Judgement Day
Earl Johnson receives final Judgement and the forces of good and evil will determine which side Earls Immortal Soul Belongs.. Who knows what Earl Did with the BoyScouts.? But on a local level Johnson was a tyrant to many many people and families. Anyone will tell you they would not challenge him because they were afraid because he was a bully! Kind of like Hollands version of a dictator. He corrupted a police chief in his endeavors. He does not care about the families of the Police Officer, registered sex offender, Town Employee, political rivals , or countless others that he sought to destroy. And you MM have learned your lessons well from master Earl. But yes hypocrite is the right word for you who condemn the celebration of one Bully, tyrant's death while celebrating the death of another.

Agreed Schoolteaching, you do reap what you sow. Having said that, the difference between corruption and terriorism is distinct. Celebrating the death of a tyrant, such as Bin Laden, is celebrating freedom and physical safety and security of our Country. In contrast, the death you are celebrating is a more personal hatred... Let sleeping dogs lie and get over it!

Posted on 14 Nov 2011, 11:51 by One of many many Johnson victims
The tyrant is DEAD !!!
For many people in Holland celebrating the death of Johnson is celebrating Freedom and physical safety and security. Johnsons dark core was so so much deeper than just corruption. And it is not personal Hatred. Earl Johnson and his acts were a direct threat to American Ideals and freedoms..

Posted on 14 Nov 2011, 13:13 by about respect
to jlo
It always amazes me how individuals close to the Johnson's resort to "childish" and other forms of the blame game.
Respect? Where was Earl's respect? Where was his decency?
We know he had none for others, but where was his respect towards his own family? That's what I'm talking about, where was his respect towards his own family? Didn't he know that his kind of conduct would reflect on his entire family? Now you blame others for just being true to themselves, to the truth? should everybody just forget? Go on? Vote for one of his off springs to be his replacement for the next 30 years? Continue his legacy?

No Hypocrite Here
I am in no way tied to the Johnson family. I have lived here for less than 10 years and do not know first hand the situations that surround this animosity. However I am a citizen of this town and I am ashamed to see that my fellow residents are this morally corrupt. The only "masters" I have learned from are my parents who loved and raised me well enough to know the difference between what is morally acceptable and what is not. I am not a hypocrite either. Where did you learn that I was out rejoicing the death of anyone? I may have been happy when Bin Laden was killed but I didn't go on the local blog in his hometown where his kids/grandkids could read and profess my utter joy of his demise and my yearning to desecrate his grave. I'm done here, you people sicken me.

To Really? I disagree and say please DO NOT remove this post or disable and remove the comments because this is America and posters have freedom of speech. Victims also have rights to express their relief knowing they will no longer be threatened or harassed by Earl Johnson anymore. Obviously those of you who are complaining don't know all the damage he's done and lives he's ruined during his tenure in office. Why shouldn't the harmed celebrate - you would too if you were one of EJ's victims. He was a real tyrant and doesn't deserve for his family to think anything otherwise. Besides they know how bad he was anyway. You need to update on the facts......

Oh My, Oh My..
After reading all the above comments, I needed a break; actually Earl needed a break. I went to the Sansoucy Funeral Home website and read the comments there. Unlike the Holland Blog, only friendly comments (condolences), are allowed, others had been removed from their website.
The following one caught my attention and since the majority had nothing good to say here on the Holland Blog, I thought I should add it here:

Condolence From: Beverly and Steven Gray
Condolence: We have decades of memories of Earl and his involvement in the town that he loved. I have had many lively debates with Earl and always knew that we were friends when they were over. He always spoke very highly of his wife and sons. Earl with Terry by his side, raised respected and responsible sons, who follow their parents example by working hard to help others and their community. No man could leave a finer legacy. Our hearts and prayers go out to you.

How does the saying go, show me your bookshelf and I tell you what you are reading?
Also, I wonder if long term close friend and Buddy Kevin Gleason payed his respect to his former mentor today at the funeral, Scotti can you fill me in please? I heard that Kevin is not in jail any longer.
(I wont be able to make it today, sorry.
I also hear that another one of Earl's close friends can't make it; Brad Noble suffered a stroke and is allegedly in a Nursing home in Southbridge. Anybody interested to be appointed to the now free positions on the Board of Assessors?

Posted on 16 Nov 2011, 10:45 by Peter Frei

I have to say, whether I agree or disagree with town politics, and understanding there may have been poor choices made (as we all HAVE made, or may make in similar situations) are you really comparing this man to Mussolini, Hitler, Saddam, and Obama??? Really?! Its Holland, Massachusetts people.....its not even Auburn, or Boston. HOLLAND, MA!!!! Get over it, and get over yourselves. You and I may or may not agree with his politics, his morals, or the way he led his life, but to act like he is among the ranks of those people is just obnoxious and absurd, and is really putting you in the same category you accuse him of being. Celebrating a death, talking about peeing on his grave...are you 13 years old? You're the ones whose politics and morals are better than his?!? Really? Lets all try and remember in the grand scheme of life, town politics in Holland, MA is truly inconsequential, and certainly not something to act this way about, or waste this much time and energy on. Even if you go with your theory about celebrating the death of these other evil dictators, while I was pleased to hear Obama was dead, I wouldn't say I celebrated, and I wouldn't want to dance on his grave, its simply closure, an opportunity to change paths (hopefully for the better), and most likely the beginning of new problems. Please try and keep the simple fact that this is simply the town of Holland, and not a country in perspective. I send my condolences to the family on their loss, and my condolences to all of you for demonstrating such shameful behavior.

Another appalling attempt to minimize the feelings and anger of the many victims of Earl Johnson's actions. Again the blame game is resorting to accusing the victims of being "childish" (13 years old), as was pointed out in an earlier comment.
"Really People??", why did you not sign your comment with your real name? Would that reveal an ulterior motive, would that reveal that you are part of the extended Johnson, Wettlaufer clan?
Isn't it telling that only 19 individuals left a condolence on the funeral home web site so far? 19 condolences for a man who "served" this community for 30 years? 19 condolences for a man who "touched" so many lives? For a man Who leaves behind such a "fine legacy??"
You also talk about wasted time and energy... How dare you! While I do not agree with some of the comments and think they go to far, they are an expression of how deeply hurt these individuals are, and how severe the abuse they suffered is. You don't have a clue!! BTW, Obama is not dead as you claim, that would be Osama... As I said, you don't have a clue.

Posted on 16 Nov 2011, 24:58 by HI
Response to appalling
Mr. Frei, I hope you realize that Earl or any member of the Johnson family have the authority to close the borders of Holland, you're free to leave. Also there were probably 200 people at the funeral. Solid point on the 19 website condolences, you know though most of the people at the funeral were senior citizens and young children, they're well educated on the internet, right? Think again. In addition, only a real space cadet would assume that a condolence from a website would prove even remotely comforting. They just lost one of the most important people in their lives. "Another appalling attempt to minimize the feelings and anger of the many victims of Earl Johnson's actions" yeah I don't believe that because I think that none of you really have feelings except anger.

P.S. Thank you for deleting all my other posts, I hope you delete this one to, further proving this blog is completely one sided.

I agree with this post, however, EJ life is over in this realm. Let's pray for his soul, as we are ourselves would like to be forgiven for our past transgressions. This is called Christianity. Neither Pro NOR Anti EJ
To Appalling: I aree, if you feel so strongly why don't you sign your name. AND just to set the record straight, I was at the funeral and there WERE NOT 200 people there - nor were many folks at the cemetery, as anyone driving by could see for themselves. Why are you grossly exaggerating? You are right about one thing, the bulk of funeral attendees were either the eldery, children OR RELATIVES, but where were all the middle aged folks??? And the reason for the elderly turnout is because Earl knew how to swoon the vulnerable.

An opinion is welcomed here; you do not assert a falsehood as a fact, you just give your opinion. Readers of this blog will know where to put it and will probably get a good laugh out of it.
"[t]he family lost there loved one and you as human beings should have respect to the family."
Someone pointed out that it was EJ's lack of respect for his own family who is responsible. The family lost a loved one, but the community got finally rid of a town official who was not liked much according to the majority of the comments here. If you are in an elected position and are holding public office, you give up your privacy to a certain point.
"The way I see it this group of people have ran for town positions and were voted down.boy shows me your the ones that aren't well liked and the town doesn't trust you with those positions."
I will only speak for myself, it is correct that I "ran" for the five year term on the Planning Board against Christine McCooe and "lost."
"Ran," would stand for: I was willing to devote my acquired knowledge about land-use law and my time to serve this community with integrity.
"Lost," would stand for: The community failed to seize the moment and the opportunity to take advantage of my willingness to serve
to the benefit of this community and do so with integrity and competence.
For years (between 2002 and 2008) Earl Johnson repeatedly stated during televised Selectboard meetings that I don't have anything better to do as to file frivolous lawsuits against the town costing the taxpayer huge sums of money. The Superior Court ruled in favor of the Planning Board because town counsel Vincent McCaughey made up his own case law and the judge believed him ignoring my fundamental rights!
This website informed the readers that the Appeals Court overturned the Superior Court's decision on June 27, 2008, and a judgment in my favor was issued. For six years, the time it took for the appeal to work its way through the legal system, Earl Johnson repeatedly misinformed the voters. If there is a reason for someone to be mad, it should be each of the voters who believed Earl Johnson's lies, not me. I have enough interests to keep me busy without serving this community as a member of the Planning Board.
Christine McCooe's term would be up for re-election next June, June of 2012. She was only attending two meetings and resigned at the third meeting. Since then appointments had to be made over and over to fill the seat she was trusted with by the voters of this community based on the lies of Earl Johnson. I was willing to fill that seat voters were denied to trust me with, because of Earl Johnson's systematic misinformation.
At the Planning Board meeting back in 2002, Earl Johnson made it clear that he would not sign the Approval Not Required plan dividing my already subdivided property; a ministerial act on part of a Planning Board if each shown lot on the plan has the required frontage and acreage. Instead, he suggested I should donate the property to the town. A proposal which did not make any sense to me until I learned that he deeded-over a parcel to his family before, (mother in law, then to his mother, then to his sons, see Johnson Landgate), a parcel of land THE TOWN owned at the time. In my wildest dreams I could not have imagined that corruption would run that deep and be so devious.
Some comments claim that Earl Johnson destroyed lives; imagine what it would do to your life if you were denied the right to sell a piece of property when you needed to do so for financial reasons. Imagine what it would do to your life if you instead of getting money from the sale of a piece of property when you needed it, you would have expenses in the tens of thousands of dollars fighting for your rights.
What sets me apart from other individuals living in Holland is not me being difficult or me to be a trouble maker; the difference is that I had something the Johnson's did not have and don't have to this moment, a beautiful five acre peninsula on the lake.
This blog is not one sided, it is the only place where both sides have a voice, and lies are not tolerated.

it is my opinion that you peter would not know the truth if it bit you in the ass

Posted on 20 Nov 2011, 12:41 by Peter Frei
Damage Control?
I have not been bitten in my ass in a long time, actually I don't remember being bitten in my ass at all. I remember falling on my ass on February 19, 2011, when Brian Johnson's father in law, Albert West, from Southbridge, kicked me from behind. I also remember Brian Johnson positioning himself while I was laying on the ice to kick me in my head. I also remember that Brian Johnson tried to criminalize me by making false accusations that I threatened him with his life and claiming that he was in fear for his life. All this was proven to be a big lie because of the audio recording I have of this incident. Accusing somebody of having committed a crime is libel per se and actionable in court; relevant charges are pending in the realm of a civil suit against Brian Johnson and it will be interesting to see how he is trying to get out of this mess... (Unfortunatelly for Brian, his lies are on record and part of an official police report written by the HPD).
All the above are not just my opinion, these are facts. Try again..
The entire incident happened because Brian Johnson can't handle the truth..

Well said
Well said Peter Frei...And good luck with the Civil Suit against Brian Johnson. Thank you for your time keeping Tyrant Junior in check..

For those who have litigated in Federal court pro se I'd like to know what you think of the experience. Did you feel you got a fair shake? I know I didn't. We do have the internet to get our side of the story out. I wrote a critique of the judges opinion in my last lawsuit. www.neimansreport.com

I stumbled onto your blog by accident. I have always believed that the citizens of small town America were the friendliest people in the country. That the "core values" of this country lie in such small towns. I was shocked and shamed by what I saw. A man died. He was a son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, cousin and friend. I was brought up to believe that if you can"t say anything nice about someone than you should remain quiet. Silence would have meant that you had taken the "high road"!

To Mr. Denancourt
Apparently you have not been on the receiving end of EJ's viciousness.
Holland, Ma Voters, you have an extraordinarily intelligent inhabitant in your little town. His name is Peter Frei. He has created this web site to disseminate the truth about the local politics. I congratulate him. Keep up the good work, Peter. You have done this town an immense service, regardless of the ignorant that reside there. Wishing you a positive outcome in your suit against B. J. Best wishes ...

also To Mr. Denacourt
You sound like you are one of J.W. or B.J.'s minions. Truth is E.J. made the decision to be in the spotlight of politics. He knew what he was doing. He hurt people without blinking an eye. Not everything is as it seems. Do your research and stop complaining about people's God given right to write on a blog about their feelings. Some of these people's lives were negatively effected by the so called "officials" in our town. This isn't all about badmouthing E.J. it is bigger than that. Small towns sometimes get the worst of corruption because there are no town managers to monitor such laws from being broken. You don't know what it's like, you don't live here. You haven't walked in some of these people's shoes. You don't know. You could never even imagine some of the things that have gone on. Be an adult, open up your eyes, imagine outside of your mind some of the corruptions that have occurred. He is someone's husband, father, grandfather, that is true. They are hurting and for that I am truly sorry. He was special to his family. Beyond his family, outside of that box, is a world where he hurt people and bypassed the laws of this state and country. Deny all you want but he did and did for a long time. It's not my job to tell you what he did to me or some I know, as I still fear retaliation from some of these officials, also why I won't put my name on here. You have no idea. Peter is the kind of man that will not let them take away his rights. He is fighting for himself and those that may be effected in the near future. You just don't realize. If indeed you "stumbled" upon this blog, you should read more than just this entry. It would only be the needle in the haystack of what's available right at your fingertips. Sounds like you are a friend or minion. Trust no politician or family member in this town who is able to hold four positions in this town hall, whatever. They don't like outsiders and if you hang out with the wrong people, you will be branded. Residents beware.

Glad to Read......
To "Another Blog Reader," I commend you for your 11/22 submission. It is well said!!!!! NO ONE could have explained things better than you have. What you wrote is 100% correct and factual.

still it makes one wonder how such evil people get reelected by landslide wins in a town that peter says is against them its my opionion that if both sides were truly allowed to speak there minds without being deleted maybe i could understand better the corruption iread what a few write but with the amount of activity on this blog there most be alot more thats deleted (i myself who has never lied on this blog have had several post deletd for no reason except that i dont agre with pf dm jl

Lanslide wins...
"fed up", landslide wins? You are joking right?
Wettlaufer had 50 supporters at the last election (June 2011). If I would be chairman of the Board of Selectmen and only 50 people would support me, only 50 people would find it necessary to show with their vote that they appreciate what I do, I would get the message and resign.
As for your last comment, it contains another lie: "who has never lied on this blog.."
I left it up anyway.

His Buddy Kevin Gleason
Not sure if his buddy Kevin Gleason showed up at the funeral or not. He's out of jail having met match on facebook while in jail and is now engaged to the Lowell Police Chief's sister in law. Not sure he has any idea who his new brother in law is going to be, and that poor girl has no idea what she's in for.

A Brighter Holland
Holland seems a little Brighter this Spring now that Mary..V. and Evil Earl are someplace they can no longer affect people. Hope we don't have to wait too long for WetFlower to join em.

Ding dong the dick is dead
I was just sitting back thinking how nice the planet has been without earl then I read this. The only thing that could make me happier than him dying is if he could die again.
