It is amazing that there are still individuals who go to great lengths to organize such events. The weather cooperated and it could not have been a nicer day. About 80 people attended and enjoyed the day, met old friends, and made new ones.
Dana and I got there around noon when most people got there and slowly the crowd was sitting around the many tables along the pond.

We noticed that the effort going into this event increased since our last attendance; beautiful flower bouquets adorned the tables. Janet Belber, Jerry Belber's wife was the talented individual that created the beautiful flower arrangements which was a donation of the couple.

The Wales Fish and Game club counts 56 member, 15 of which are active members who are involved and attend regular meetings. According to Leon Givner, the treasurer of the club, Emily Gaston brings a professionalism to the meeting and is a great secretary for the club.
On the menu were not only pork and some sides, the menu offered everybody some choices:
  • roasted pork;
  • grilled chicken;
  • corn on the cob;
  • backed potato;
  • beans;
  • tossed salad;
  • macaroni and cheese;
  • another sort of pasta;
  • col slaw;
  • and for the kids, there was hamburgers and hot dogs on the menu.
  • and of coarse a cold drink (no alcohol).
  • for desert attendees could get cake and cup cakes with coffee!

Leon Givner (standing in the door way in the picture below), with lots of help, set up everything inside.
As announced, at 1 PM the hungry crowed could enter the door on the side to get the delicious food.
Delicious it was! Unfortunately, Dana and I had to leave soon as I had a business appointment and we missed the desert.

According to Leon Givner most of the people left around 4 PM and the rest played a round of horse shoes trowing. A few stayed into Sunday morning around the fire and started the Sunday with a beacon, egg, and toast breakfast.
There are always a few who do the clean up and make it possible for the rest to have a good time; thanks to all of you who helped organize this even which was even better than the last one I attended. I already look forward to next year's Pork Roast event.
