The statement below will be submitted to the Holland Police Department.
First, I didn’t want to file it as Brian Johnson will deny everything; a close friend urged me to report the incident anyway as the violence against me escalates.
If anyone has any information, please let me know, I would appreciate it.
At the time I wrote my statement (Incident #: 11-9-OF) sitting on the bench in front of the counter at the Holland Police Department (HPD) on Tuesday January 18, 2011, Brian Johnson, Highway Surveyor, stopped on his way out of the HPD right next to me, and tried to read what I was writing.
I was reporting an incident whereby one of his workers, Alexander Haney, assaulted me and threatened me. As a reporter for the Holland Blog, I investigated a claim that Haney was operating the town’s heavy front loader without the proper license. The HPD later confirmed that Haney was operating the Front Loader without the proper license, official report ref: 11-9-OF, dated 01/19/2011.
I turned the clip board upside down and looked at Brian Johnson. He put his cell phone/camera 3-1/2” to my face pretending to take a picture while he said to me “fucking looser.” He then left the HPD. I later noticed a dent in the driver door of my car, a Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe, 1991. The dent does not have any scratch marks that would be indicative of impact with another car.
I suspect Brian Johnson to have kicked-in the driver door of my car after he left the station of the HPD. My car was parked on the east side of East Brimfield Road about in the middle of the parking lot north of the Holland Town Hall.

Peter Frei
On Thursday, January 27, 2011, I was assigned to patrol duties for the Town of Holland from 9:00 am to 5:00pm.
At approximately 10:35 am, I was notified by dispatch that Peter Frei had contacted them regarding someone driving without a license. Dispatch provided me with Mr. Frei's number and I subsequently called him back. Mr. Frei informed me that he had received information that a member of the Holland Highway
Department, John Folger (01/I7/72), was operating a large dump truck without the proper license. He also stated that the source who gave him this information was the same source that informed him about Alexander Haney operating equipment for the Highway Department without being properly licensed. (Please refer to case #11-9-OF for more information) Mr. Frei provided me with Mr. Folger's date of birth and address, which he stated he obtained through public records. He also informed me that he checked a website online (fttp://db.state.ma.us/dps/licenseelist.asp) and it stated that Mr. Folger does not have any "special licenses".
Later, while checking the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles database, I was able to determine that Mr. Folger has an active class D license and a class B permit. This would allow him to operate the truck with a duly licensed operator seated next to him. Mr. Frei provided no information to the contrary.
In addition to the information listed above, Mr. Frei also wanted to report an act of vandalism. He stated that at some point on Tuesday 1/18/11, someone kicked and dented the door on his vehicle. Mr. Frei told me that he believes Brian Johnson is responsible. When asked why he thinks that, Mr. Frei stated that he believes it is related to the above mentioned incident, where he reported Alexander Haney operating highway department equipment without the proper license. Mr. Johnson is the highway superintendent and a friend of Mr. Haney.
Mr. Frei alleges that while he was filling out a voluntary statement form at the Holland Police station regarding the incident, Mr. Johnson stopped next to him to see what he was writing and called him a "fucking loser". Mr. Frei stated that this incident took place around 4:00 pm on 1/18/11. He told me that after that, he went to Fiskdale, Manchester, CT, and Rockdale, CT. He informed me that it was in Rockdale where he discovered the damage. Mr. Frei stated that he believes the damage occurred while parked at the Holland Town Hall. I asked Mr. Frei where he was parked. He informed me that he was parked on the east side of East Brimfield Road, in the middle of the parking area.
I informed Mr. Frei that I would look into the matter and contact him if I needed any further information. I also explained to him that although he may have a suspicion that a particular person is responsible, I would need evidence in order to act. Mr. Frei was understanding of this and stated that he wanted to have the incident documented.
I did check Mr. Frei's website (01521.com) for photographs of the damage, which he told me were posted there. Upon viewing these photographs, I observed a large dent about halfway up the driver's door, just below the window. This dent was very apparent and was made with a lot of force. The photographs have been included in the case folder along with the written statement that Mr. Frei completed for this incident, and also posted on his blog.
I checked the Town Hall's exterior cameras to see if they may have recorded the incident. They all appear to be recording the entrances and do not appear to cover the area where Mr. Frei's vehicle was parked. As explained to Mr. Frei, at this time there is no evidence of who damaged his vehicle. There is also the possibility that the damage occurred at one of the other three locations he visited after the Holland Police Department. Any
new information will be submitted in a supplemental narrative.

It is puzzling how Brady goes into details about me giving him the DOB of John Folger, but fails to mention that I told him that I don't even know John Folger; as a matter of fact, I had never heard the name before my informant made the fact public that Folger had not the proper license to operate the equipment he allegedly operated without trainer. Officer Matthew Brady stated in his NARRATIVE:
Later, while checking the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles database, I was able to determine that Mr. Folger has an active class D license and a class B permit. This would allow him to operate the truck with a duly licensed operator seated next to him. Mr. Frei provided no information to the contrary. It sounds like Brian Johnson and his HWD can't do wrong; the question is, if we have snow storm after snow storm, who was sitting right next to John Folger as required by law as he had NOT the PROPER LICENSE to drive the heavy truck BY HIMSELF as the official report by the Holland PD written by Brady confirms?
I also wish that Officer Brady would have made a better effort relating my explanation why the vandalism had to have happened while I was parked in front of the police station.
At the first stop, the Fiskdale post office, I parked at the extreme left parking spot between the building and RT20; at the next stop in Manchester CT I was parked right next to the building, the driver door facing the building; and at my last stop which was in Rockville CT and not in Rockdale, (there is no Rockdale in CT), the car was in the middle of a parking lot.
However, what I also told him was, that it had snowed all day and that it could not have been done at my last stop as the buildup of the distinctive film of little particles of sand, salt, slush, and other dirt from the road surface was totally undisturbed at the dent. If something would have pushed against the door, it would have disturbed that uniform film.
But one question, the cardinal question to ask in this situation, Brady didn't ask. Do you know what that question is?
Do you know what question I'm thinking off?? Do you know what I think he failed to ask and what he should have asked??

It is also puzzling what kind of information the HPD redacted on the incident report, the DOB is on every list of registered voters which is public record. On prior reports the HPD did not redact this information. For instance, Jeffrey Forcier did not reduct the DOB on the Incident report, Incident #: 11-31-OF, posted under the piece, "Brian Johnson Organized a Day of Harassment Which Ended in Assault." However, on Forcier's Incident report the age of the involved individuals was redacted even so the DOB was still there which is also puzzling as a first grader can calculate the age (hopefully) with the given DOB in the report. Go figure...
Brian Haughey had his graduation ceremony at the police academy last Friday, April 8. I'm glad he is back and I hope he will bring desperately needed leadership to the Holland PD.
