It was a near perfect day for the annual event organized by the Wales Fish & Game Club. The 86 member club owns a 15 acre parcel of land on 30 Holland Road in Wales.

The beautiful setting offers two scenic ponds that are connected by a small bridge that allows passage between the two ponds. The club stocks the ponds with fish every year. The club also features a shooting range for firearms and bow and arrow.

The club owns a club house, a covered outside area and the shooting range. The lighting system of the club house is powered with propane.
Admission to the event was $12 which included the meal. The buffet included besides the pork roast, tossed salad, cole slaw, backed potatoes, backed beans, corn on the cop, applesauce, drinks, and a cake for desert.
Al said that he did 15 to 20 pork roasts before and together with Willie he did a great job; it was delicious. Willie had marinated the pork.
The club also sold tickets for a raffle.

While waiting for the meal, the crowd socialized between the clubhouse and the lower pond. Leon Givner in the yellow shirt is taking pictures of the pork roast.
I made new friends with Angel, Jane, Al, Willie, and others and I will be back next year for a fun afternoon. Next year I will try to give advanced notice so more people will have an opportunity to attend.
