Car crashed down embankment towards Hamilton Reservoir.
Around 10:20 this morning, a car driving on Mashapaug Road towards the cause way lost control and ended up at the edge of the ice of Hamilton Reservoir.
Emergency Services of the town of Holland were quick to respond, Holland Police, the Fire Department were on the scene. Two tow trucks pulled the car back on the road.
For a short period of time Mashaupaug Road was blocked both ways to recover the car.
Roads are treacherous today and temperatures are to low for salt (sodium chloride) to work; salt can melt five times as much ice at 30 degrees Fahrenheit as at 20 degrees. If you don’t need to go out stay at home..
Thanks to the two readers of the Holland Blog who gave me a call so I could cover the story. Click on any picture to enlarge!
