Teenage Girl kidnapped and assaulted on Amber Road.

There was a story in the Telegram this week about an Amber Road teenager who was jailed for stabbing his father in the face. Philip Babineau is being held on 1000.00 cash bail after an altercation with his father. The article said Philip’s father, Gary Babineau, 54, went to a neighbor's house after the fight and police were called. There is a report of drinking going on at the Babineau home prior to the fight.

The Babineau's are no strangers to violence as one of the young ladies in my care named Shawna returned to my house last Sunday, beaten and bruised after being terrorized by the Babineau's the prior week. I called The Holland Blog to photo-document the bruises on the young ladies face before sending her to the emergency room.

The young lady reported she was the girlfriend of 19 year old Philip Babineau and was at their Amber Road house when the father and son got into one of their violent fights. She tried to reason with the two and reported she was subsequently beaten by both Babineaus. According to Shawna, she was held overnight by the pair against her will because they feared she would contact police. She reported that she managed to escape briefly but was tackled on the lawn and dragged back into the Babineau's residence by her

hair losing her sweat pants in the process. The girl was allegedly tied down with duck tape and held captive against her will. Ironically the Babineaus live across the street from Mrs Karen Raymond who has constantly been reporting on the goings on at the Northeast Concepts hillside property which is at least 300 feet away through the woods from her home. Where were you Mrs Raymond while this young girl was assaulted and kidnapped, screaming for help right across the street from your front door?

While the younger Babineau is in jail for attacking his father, I can not help but wonder if the young man was upset for losing his young girlfriend after he and his father brutally attacked her at their home.

Shawna was a farmhand on the Huguenot Farm and was in my care after her parents asked me to teach her a positive work ethic. The 18 year old girl worked hard to clear stones from the new pastures and was a positive energy on our farm. She spent close to a month in our community before returning to her home in Webster after the brutal assault at the Babineau residence. While the younger Babineau may now get the help he needs, his father is a free man playing the part of a victim. The real victim here is a young lady whose retina may have been detached after being beaten by the Babineaus.
