Good morning Peter,
If there is a way, would you or could you create a link to this site below? It is a blog that we created for the Holland Dog Pound. Seems like everything else around here, we have to do most or all of these things ourselves. We have been trying to find a stray Dog whom we have named "Henry" a home for about 5 months and we can go only so far with flyers and word of month. We have contacted numerous shelters and were told that they are all full and they then offered us "good luck"! We are starting to run out of time as the weather is turning and there is not any heat or water at the pound. Yes, we have been in contact with the tri-town committee in trying to set up a pound for Brimfield, Wales, and Holland. We started this in April or May and as of yet there has nothing been done. Brimfield has money in an account for the renovation of our Pound and the Holland Highway Department will furnish the labor in moving, pouring a new pad, adding a new roof, insulating, adding electricity and water, as well as new fencing for the runs. Sure! We could be looking at next year of even the year after. We need help in placing "Henry" now! Wales most likely will not participate as they have a Pound. Now we hear that Wales wants to have the renovations done to their Pound as they have water and electrics. Our problem is that we do not have any vehicles to use to transport to Wales. Our own private vehicles are not Dog friendly as well as we have no way to isolate Dogs and perhaps what they carry from ourselves or loved ones that may use these vehicles at a later date. Just got carried away with the things that have to be overcome just to find a home for "Henry" who (we think) was abandoned and thus was no fault of him own.
"Henry" and Ray Korny Dog Officer and Family,
Pseudo caretakers of Henry,
would appreciate a link to your blog.
Ray, I added a link in the main menu under "Holland Links" that will stay there permanently. The readers of the Holland Blog can click on that link or can click here to get to your blog.
