Good morning Janine,

I hope this email finds you well. We communicated last year about the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program (MVP), and I’m writing again now to make sure you are aware of the current MVP opportunity to fund planning efforts that are geared towards identifying municipal strengths and weaknesses to the impacts associated with climate change. The official announcement is in the email attached (your town would be looking at a Planning Grant). The deadline for Planning Grant applications is August 7, 2020. You can read more about the Planning Grant here https://www.mass.gov/service-details/mvp-planning-grant.

Roughly 70% of PVPC communities, and 82% of cities and towns state-wide, have completed the MVP planning process, earning eligibility to compete for annual MVP Action Grants to fund priority adaptation actions.

I would be happy to answer questions about the program and the application process, which is very straightforward. We could also provide some support in the application by providing templates and examples of previous applications from other municipalities.

I hope you will consider taking advantage of this important opportunity!

Best,

Emily
