snow on the ground?
If the blaze took place on May 3rd, 1957 and the HFD burned the Inn to the ground thereafter, when did that happen? Did it happen in the following winter?
Just curious as there is snow on the ground in the pictures.
Does anyone know?

Snow at the May Fire?
I spoke to then Assistant Chief Robbie Piazzo. His recollection is that the Holland Fire Dept. burned what remained from the initial fire on May 3rd 1957 in the early winter of 1958. He said that the building stood for about a year to go through the insurance process and to salvage parts of the building.
He didnt recall the exact date but I hope this helps.
