Nine Year Old Child Rescued in the Woods of Holland.

Any parents worse nightmare was averted today after their 9 year old child became lost entering the deep woods of Holland near Amber Brook.
Rescue personal including an ambulance and the Holland Fire and Police Department used the recently maintained access road on the Huguenot Farm to drive almost a half a mile into the forest where the child was discovered and rescued . Officer Forcier of the Holland Police was on scene and stated he was glad the road was there or he did not think they would have located the missing child so quickly.
The town has been denying the farm legal access to use the road for over 3 years in bitter court battles. The road can be found on a map in the book titled “The History of Holland,” from the early 1900's. Today many Holland rescue vehicles were able to drive to the location of the missing child located near the road in the woods that the town says does not even exist. My heart smiles to witness such events.

No lake access this Thursday!

During the selectboard meeting last night, the Board informed the viewers that another chemical treatment will take place this Thursday, September 9th. The chemicals used this time will attack the aquatic plants on the water surface and the operation of power boats is not allowed for this reason. Swimming, irrigation of plants, and letting pets drinking lake water should be avoided for 48 hours. Who is going to inform our wildlife?
